Regular dental hygiene visits and good home care practices are essential in maintaining optimum oral health. Establishing regular appointments reinforces your home care and helps us detect problems in the early stages.

Your dental hygiene visit includes:
- Oral cancer screening
- Gum Disease Evaluation consists of periodontal charting to measure pocket depths (adults), gum recession, and tooth mobility
- Scaling the tooth surfaces to remove plaque (soft) and calculus (hard) deposits
- Examination of teeth and existing restorations to detect decay and breakdown of old fillings or crowns
- Fluoride treatments to help prevent decay and decrease tooth sensitivity
- Diagnostic x-rays for accurate diagnosis and detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss
- Patient education and use of dental aids
